From the New England Village Series, a collection by Department 56, portraying a simpler time when America was beginning its great traditions.
J.C. Hope is our celebration of the proud tradition of American, black-owned businesses. Since the birth of the nation, the New England area held many examples of workshops and small businesses begun by black entrepreneurs. Some examples might be metal smithing, especially black smithing, dress making, weaving, carving and of course barbers. Our J.C. Hope is just such an example of an industrious man who even thought to create an after hours income by opening a checkers parlor right upstairs!
J.C. Hope Barber lit building includes light cord and bulb. Uses replacement bulb #56.99244 and replacement cord #56.99028.
